How to Jailbreak Android (Phone or Tablet)

What is a Jailbreak?

A jailbreak is the process of removing restrictions from a device, such as an iPhone, iPad, or iPod, that are put in place by the device’s manufacturer or cellular carrier. These restrictions, known as “jailbreaking” or “unlocking”, are put in place to prevent users from modifying their devices or using unauthorized cellular services.

Jailbreaking an iPhone or other iOS device allows users to install unauthorized software, or “apps”, that are not available through the App Store. It also allows users to change the look and feel of their device’s user interface, and to use cellular services that are not authorized by their carrier.

Jailbreaking an Android device allows users to install software that is not available through the Google Play store, and to customize the look and feel of their device’s user interface. It also allows users to use cellular services that are not authorized by their carrier.

Unlocking a cell phone allows users to use it with a different carrier than the one that originally provided the phone. This is often done to get around SIM card locking, which is a practice used by cellular carriers to prevent users from using their phones with other carriers.
